They are useful if you want to see what you keep inside. Very hard to separate from each other when you first receive them. Bit bulky when put next to each other. Very sturdy. Good qualityI’ve bought 32 of these things so I must like them ?. I originally bought one set of 8 in white to see if they worked with my IKEA Billy bookshelf. They do! I have since bought 3 more sets. I can fit 5 across and they fit perfectly depth-wise too. I use them for keeping my craft stuff organized. They are made of a rigid plastic with only a tiny bit of give. They don’t have that brittle feel like some plastics have. They’re sturdy (as you expect from M Design) and better quality than something similar from Target or Walmart.My one and only complaint is about the last set I got. The bins were extremely hard to pull apart and the stickers were impossible to get off. That batch has permanent residue from the stickers. I tried dishwashing liquid, alcohol, hot water, etc. and none worked. Acetone or goo gone may work but I was afraid it may damage the plastic.Overall, really nice bins!If you’re coming here to figure out how to remove the bins, that’s why I’m here. I would like to reflect the sentiment that a thin layer of something to separate the bins would be beneficial, but it looks like it’s been years since people have been leaving feedback and nothing has been done, so I’m here to help!I soaked mine in my tub with very warm water and put cool water inside the first bin. I let those sit for a few minutes. I then took them out, put my two big toes in the handle slots, and shoved my fingers into the side walls and pulled. They all came apart like a charm. I’m a small woman so this is a tip that works for all! Definitely difficult but only took about 5 minutes once I started and finished!These bins are sturdy, and they look great! They come packaged in 4 sets of 2, and those sets of 2 are pretty tightly stacked. If you can’t immediately wiggle them apart, just soak the bottom in hot tap water and add ice cubes to the top bin. Let them sit for a minute, then you can pull them apart with a little effort. Science! Fun! Some reviewers didn’t like the stickers. Those didn’t bother me. I just placed the bins so the side with the sticker is in the back. I’m so glad I didn’t let the bad reviews deter me from this purchase. I absolutely love these bins. They completely transformed my cluttered shelves. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.I am in love! For all of us obsessed with the Home Edit, these are the bin for you. Yes, there are very much stuck together and I saw those reviews before ordering. The trick I learned from another review is: put them in the bathtub, put cold water in the top bin, fill the tub with hot water (I did about half way up the bottom bin), wait 5 or so minutes, then get a second person to help pull them apart. I was able to pull one apart on my own but it’s so much easier with help.Now I just need to label them.Got these to declutter 'junk' area next to washer/dryer and in bathroom to corral personal items on shelves. Example: use one for nail care, one for purchased shower items - razors, body lotions etc. Great value.As other reviewers wrote, it was really hard to separate the stuck containers. I put them in my fridge until they get cold. Then I sat on the containers (I'm not heavy) and made some air gap between the containers. Then I managed to get them separate! Hope this helps.The trays are thick and sturdy. The reason I gave 4 stars is due to the packaging. The insert them in a stack of 4 trays for shipping. They do not place any sheets in between the trays and they are extremely difficult to separate them. I was worried I was going to crack them.
