I get hot, in a sweaty, uncomfortable, "are you ok?" kind of way. I saw a lady who was, likely, in her third trimester of pregnancy in a store wearing a neck fan. Typical hot summer, and she was likely overly hot with the pregnancy. Been there. Not fun. But her neck fan was an awesome idea, and, where do you go to find something that's not likely in a store nearby? Well, Amazon!My search showed that there were a lot of neck fans to choose from, so I needed to find features that I liked. I thought a fan was nice, but then this unit was also an "air conditioner" with a cooling plate on the back. That seemed intriguing, and possibly worth the higher price. I could return the item, so I decided to purchase with little to lose. I read reviews and found that most were positive; the negative reviews seemed to be more user issues or misunderstandings of product features.I received the item and found it came with a soft slipcover case and charging cord. I charged it up and read the directions. After charging I turned on the unit. The unit starts up with a low fan, with each time pressing the button the fan increases: first low, then medium, then high, then off. Each fan setting was nice, though I felt that low was very comfortable. Then I turned on the "air conditioner" or cooling plate on the neck nape section. To turn on the cooling plate, I turn on the unit then hold down the button to turn on the cooling plate. I found that reaching the button while the unit was on wasn't comfortable for me. The button is in a suitable place, and I use the L-R directions to put the unit on my left and right sides, but I find it's easier for me to remove the unit to turn it off and on. It'd be awesome if the unit could be controlled with a smartphone/bluetooth.Turning on the cooling plate and setting it on my neck, I can instantly feel the cold plate, and it feels soooooooo nice! I don't know how I can measure to cool down by 18°F in 3 second, but I believe it. I really get hot and flushed sometimes, and I turn this on and turn on the cool plate. It's cooling me down *as soon as* I put it on. It does work and it works *fast*! I like that the fan is bladeless, so my longer hair does not get tangled up on this unit.There are three things I'm not liking about this unit: 1) I would like the cooling plate on without the fan; 2) I would like to have the battery last longer; and 3) I would like to have the fan be a little lower/adjustable as to air direction. As for 1), the product questions, the manufacturer addresses this issue, saying the two work together. As for 2), I really haven't had the battery die on me. I didn't address battery life, but, with the cooling plate, I understand it only lasts about TWO HOURS. I don't use it that long, so battery life just isn't an issue for me! As for 3), I'm still on the fence as to whether this is an issue for me or not. If I'm hot, the air is helpful to provide some air movement around my face/head to cool me off. I suppose it'd be nice to be able to adjust where the air flows on the unit somewhat, but, ultimately, this is something that I'm okay with because I'm highly satisfied with the unit.So, all in all, there's some negative reviews on this product, and the price point is higher for it, which is another detraction. But, my experience with this unit is that it works fantastic and does what it says. I am not sure if I (yet) get hot flashes, but this unit cools me down when I get overheated. I don't use it at the gym/workout, as I'm not sure how it could handle my sweaty workouts, but I've been tempted to try it! I also don't use it all the time, so I have not challenged the battery life, but, really, my use of this product won't be to test its limits. As for rating it for travel: I haven't traveled with it, yet, but I intend to use it the next time I travel.All in all, this product does what it says it does. I love it so much, I am tempted to buy the Coolify 2 since it has two cooling plates and can provide heat, too. This product is worth it!Soooo I never got my first order. But I am working that one out with Amazon. But for work purposes, I needed one of these like yesterday! It finally came in and I actually recieved this package to my relief! And I ammmmmm suppperrrrr satisfied with my purchase!!! Amazing quality! Wish the battery would last longer , but it does the job plus some…idk how I ever did my job in this desert heat with out one of these before. The fans are excellent and very quiet! This new cooling tech that they have that rests on the back of ur neck is next level!!! I be popped it on with the fans and I was chillin…but then I poppped on the cooling plate and I was floored on how cold it got and i could literally feel myself cooling down for how hot I was in the heat. If u don’t have one and u work out side in the sun or work in a space that does not have good ventilation, this is the ticket item for you! I am definitely coming back and ordering one for my close co workers soooooooon!!This thing has literally been a lifesaver. It has kept me able to work through many a hot summer day, even though my work does involve conditions that it is not recommended for. Humorously enough, my few complaints are not related to perceived flaws from using it outside it's recommended parameters but from issues with compatibility with my face: I have a beard.It is a beard grabber. The fans have a tendency of drawing in my beard and tugging hairs. Nothing too bad, but enough to be annoying at times.The second issue is that it does not come apart easily. Since tangled beard hairs can jam the fans and bog down the motors, I periodically need to pop open the chambers to clean it out. Needing to preform said maintenance doesn't bother me. However, the process of doing so does. The only way to do this is to remove the aluminum guards, typically resulting in warping said guards in the process. I hope future models take cleaning and maintenance to mind and have guards that can be screwed off.Other than these beard-based issues, this product is stellar. Battery life is enough to get me through my eight hour day if I ration the power well, it is light enough not to strain my neck, and it's held up after a year of doing landscape work. I would readily recommend it to anyone who simply needs to cool down a couple degrees.Absolutely LOVE this! I'm sensitive to heat & living in Hot Georgia this is ESSENTIAL for me. However, after 15mo of DAILY use, within a day the medal strip that gets cold bubbled up in one corner & started burning. Looks like battery acid did it. Had to throw it away, but I'll still be buying a new one, I Love it THAT much! I just hate to spend another $149So I have used my new coolify for about 3 weeks now in very hot humid conditions. I do lawn care so I put mine to the test. The first use it was very hot 93 degrees plus humidity was high. I had it on cool mode with fan on high. The battery died when I finished mowing on my lawn tractor which took about an hour 45 minutes. The next day it lasted over 3 hours using cool mode medium fan. The 3rd experience it was cooler outside and cloudy so I used mainly fan mode medium speed and cool mode while trimming. I tried mowing without it after using it and there is a big difference. Although I didn't feel like I was in house ac as some seem think this would or should when they think air conditioning....this does keep neck cool and just in fan mode keeps air moving on sides of your head. I do wish the battery lasted alot longer but it is way better then I even expected. One thing is I wish there was some sort of way to keep it more firm around neck as way u move doing lawns it tends to slide to the side and have adjust now and then. I do like it and may purchase one or 2 in future so I have a couple charged up ready to go lasting all day. Longest it lasted me was about 5 hours on a charge alternating could mode and fan only no higher than medium speed先程届きました。室内24度弱、実験運転して、感動しました。驚くほど、兎に角、寒い。風のみ、しかも弱で、寒い。中にしてみると、もう鳥肌。首周りはキンキンに冷えてしまって、これ頸動脈縮んでないかい？と心配になる。強にしてみると、うるささは仕方ないにしても、OH!モーレツ!に寒い。これに加え、後ろのプレートなんて作動させたら、冷たすぎて着けていられない。わかりますか？これを夏につけられる心強さ。ネックファンやネッククーラーを家電量販店で色々と試してきましたが、正直、圧倒的でした。上からも下からも、風。ベルトに引っかけるファン、またはベスト式ファンを検討していましたが、これ一つで充分そうです。また、案外、無理な姿勢をしても、首から落ちないもんですね。重さもよく判らなかったですが、全然重さを感じません。早速、追加で購入予定しています。そして知人にどんどんおすすめします。皆さんも、是非！久々だわ。最高。ネッククーラーとしての値段は非常に高いですが基本的な性能(携帯性、バッテリー、デザイン、静粛性)は全て高水準、冷却性能に関しては最強クラスです。とにかく暑いのが嫌い、汗をかきたくないという人。このジャンルの製品を買って失敗したくない人にはおすすめです。追記：数日間使用しての感想です。冷却プレート周りの構造やシステムがとても良く出来ているなと思います。まず、冷却プレートの首への接触部分が突起していてそれにより本体の荷重がかかることで冷却部分がしっかり肌に密着します。これにより冷却プレートの効果を最大限に発揮出来ます。また、冷却プレート部分に厚みを持たせることで冷却時に発生する熱が、冷却時に干渉してしまわないようになっています。長時間の使用の際、この差が体感の冷たさに影響します。冷却プレートが30分で自動OFFになるのも最初は面倒だと思いましたが、冷却プレートのような機能は長時間の使用で冷たさを感じにくくなるのでバッテリーの観点からしても理に適っています。再度使いたければボタン長押しするだけですので。
